ChronoCrafter is a directory of clock repair shops, clockmakers and restorers in the United States, with guides on clock problems, care, value and repair prices.
Where the listings come from
The starting point is public business information collected in August 2026: name, address, phone, website, category, opening hours and the topics customers mention most in reviews.
What we check
- Does it really repair clocks? We keep businesses listed as clock repair services or clock and watch makers, businesses with clock work in their name, and businesses whose own website or customers' reviews mention clock repair. Watch-only shops, jewelers and antique stores without that evidence, and businesses the original search picked up by mistake (malls, locksmiths, plumbers and the like), are left out.
- Where is it? City and state come from the street address and, for partial addresses, the ZIP code.
- What does it work on? In October 2026 we read the website of every business that has one: the home page and up to three pages about clocks, services or prices. We record the clocks and services it mentions, with the quote and the page. 626 websites could be read; 19 block automated visits.
- Does the website still belong to the business? Websites that no longer respond, show unrelated or spam content, or redirect to another company are removed from the listing.
- Prices on the price pages are only those clockmakers publish themselves, each linked to its source.
What we don’t show
We don’t show star ratings, copy reviews or reuse photos from other websites. Images on this site are illustrations. Nobody pays to appear in the listings or the rankings; a paid placement, if ever shown, will be labelled “Sponsored”.
